Ches is in the Champion of Champions in The Games this year ... and it's on a Friday ... and it's the day before I head to Sarah's.

Apart from it being on that weekend, I've got only 8½ days holiday left to take this year (got NO week's booked off yet PLUS I may need time off for Aerosmith and Leppard) and no real money to speak of for a hotel bill (got concert tickets for the above to buy when they are announced). So, Faye can't go.

I'm a little disappointed as I really did want to go, it was loads of fun last year (even though I came back ill) but it's also not the end of the world. I'm sure there'll be a gig that I CAN actually make this year, even if there isn't there's always next year.

Talking of Leppard and Aerosmith .... really hope there's at least 1 weekend date, with the rate my holiday is depleating I won't be able to make any mid-week. Got visiting London to think of!

Just been onto the official site .. Krissy has given birth to a bouncing baby boy called Indiana German Stanley (bit of a mouthful I know). He'll be 9 days old now.

OK, last night was probably the BEST Ches gig I've EVER been too!! OMG, I really don't know where to start!! Sorry I can't cut this but I'm not at home so don't know the code or anything.

We got to Walkabout for about 8.20 and met Cheryl and Jilly there. We went in (got in early as we'd got tickets, pay on the door was after 9pm) and made sure we got our spots at the front.

After a few drinks and at 11pm Ches came on and was looking FINE :p His set was the usual set, only the first time that he's NOT sung Imagine. Jodie (his brother on the drums) took one look at the t-shirt and put his thumbs up and mouthed "great" to me. During one of the songs Ches came right in front of be and put his back to me...yes, it had to be done so I put my hand on his arse!! Jilly,Claire and Cheryl were in hysterics and a little bit of a shock I think that I did it. (oh, btw, Chesney's arse is better then Bryan's arse ;-p). Not only did this happen once ... it happened again only the second time wasn't intentional (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it).

He did a signing again afterwards and whilst we were in the queue Stu, Paul and Jodie went to join him. When we got there, Jodie approached me and commented about the t-shirts. We had a brief chat. Paul commented on it too and when I turned around and showed him the we'd got the walkabout dates on the back both him and Stu went into hysterics and said that it was great. Ches recognised me too and was shocked that I'd managed to get hold of the promo of Another Fine Mess. When I said that I'd got it on eBay, he asked how much I'd paid for it but I couldn't remember.

So that was the amazing night I had :)

OK, so despite my earlier entry I'm now pretty chipper! Why?? I've spent 1½ hours on the phone to my wife (aka Char!). For those of you who doesn't know the story .... we met via Chesney's message board last August as we both booked tickets for the Gala Dinner last November and were booked on the same table. Never looked back since. Why do we call each other wife? Kinda my mums doing that - one night we were chatting online and my mum asked if I was talking to my girlfriend, and it stemed from there. I even told Ches at the dinner that we were wife and wife (yes, I really was THAT pissed). He said that we should've told him and he'd have sung at the ceremony/do - we told him he did, then having to explain that Southampton was the first time we attended one of his gigs together.

Anyways, we spent half the convo simply catching up. Quite a bit has happened with both of us since we last spoke properly, plus she's one of the only people I can talk too about recent events (she's probably the only person in my life who fully understands). The rest was spent talking about Ches and simply remenising about Southampton, the dinner, The Games and Butlins. I don't think I've laughed so hard in such a long time ... we've had our ups and downs since last August but we're there when it counts to cheer each other up.

In short ... I don't know what I'd do without my wife in tow! MISS YOU xx

Also found out that she never received the birthday card I sent her either, the postal service is a shambles in this country! Making a mental note to make it up to her for Christmas and to deliver her card myself if I have too!! I wondered why nothing was said about it as I'd popped a little card thing inside it too, and I know she loves those.

Well ... it's 2 years today since I started here! In my 3rd position granted, but this is only the second place in my life that I've actually stuck at!! The longest?? Just short of 3 years at the hotel in London.

I've also put in for some overtime today too in a different department, just for admin work. I've asked for 5-10 hours per week if possible. So this will either be after my days work or at a weekend. I need the money more then anything, especially with my holiday in October/November plus with whats going on at the moment ... I'd like to try and have the spare cash to be able to head to London at the drop of a hat if I wanted to.

Ches ... eeek!! I've just won his first album on eBay! OK, so I have the UK version of the soundtrack ... this is the USA version! Different cover .. different track order .. and a different track too (which I've got on one of the singles ... but it's beside the point!!). A snip too at £5.40 incl p&p!! Considering most of them go for over £15 I've done really well.

Well it's taken me a couple of days to put this entry in but OH MY GOD!!

Char met Ches and she said he was lovely and actually recognised my name when she asked him to sign my CD cover!! AAARRGGGHH!! I am soooooo looking forward to November now!

Got my CD Cover through yesterday and it's been signed by Ches, his brother Jodie and one of his band memebers Paulo! I actually have something signed "2 Faye" from the man himself! I was fit to cry when I got it through! Yeah, yeah, probably a little over dramatic but shit, it's so hard to explain!

He makes me feel alive - like he did all those years ago! There's no other feeling I've ever experienced that even come close to this! I've have a permemnant smile on my face now for 4 days, even getting arsy calls at work hasn't knocked me off this happy time!!

What the hell am I gonna be like in November!?!

With 2 months to go it's actually starting to hit me that I'm actually gonna meet Chesney Hawkes! OK, for those of you who know who he is your probably thinking "What a sad cow"! For those of you who don't, well he had a huge hit here in the UK called The One & Only!!

I've been a fan for over 13 years! He was me teen idol and over the past months by passion for his music, his life ... HIM .. has gone back to what it was when I was 14 years old. I see or hear his name and I smile - all those memories of what it was like when he was "huge" come flooding back! I know he's is (or at least was) a pop star but I .... it's hard to explain without sounding like a sad obsessed fan ... still love him as much now as I did all those years ago. It's strange really cos for years after he disappeared from the limelight I still loved his music and his film Buddy's Song, but after setting up the group 3 years ago on MSN (http://groups.msn.com/ChesneyHawkes for anyone interested) and finding his own site the love for him, well as a package I guess, has returned with a vengence.

I was actually getting really teary on Saturday night knowing that after a 13 year wait I was actually FINALLY going to meet my idol! It hit me big time, even though I've known for over a month now that it's gonna happen!

I'm shopping for my outfit tomorrow with my mum, have got my handbag for the night and now all I gotta do is wait!!

I can't think about it anymore ... got too much going on before then!! But ... oh shit ... I think I'll end up crying when I meet him!!

Well, got the day off I wanted in November so am now officailly off to my Gala Dinner! Gawd, £90! But it does mean VIP/Celeb Zone access and I WILL meet Chesney (ahh, sad but true!), after 13 years I finally get to meet my Teen Idol!

My Bryan Adams tickets came through yesterday for Wembley, my holiday for the Lakes in November is now booked, am busy arranging a weekend away in Butlins (Skegness of all places) for an 80's weekend in Feb and I'm not back to work til Friday!

All in all, been a pretty pleasant couple of days!

Tomorrow am off to Leeds to meet up with David for a few hours before heading to Derby to meet up with one of my best mates Lee for a few days! It's gonna be good to see them both again. It's also gonna be good to spend a few days sorting my head out cos it's been pretty screwed up of late!

So, I'm pretty happy! Oh, and to top it all off we've FINALLY been getting some Gold medals in the Olympics (couldn't believe the rowing this morning - talk about cutting it fine).

Caught Ches on Weakest Link - knocked out 2nd right after Liz McLoughlin (at least he didn't take the first walk of shame!!). And it's safe to say that I'd have got the same quesitons wrong!

On another nostalga trip today - listening to my NOW 1988 CD! What a year!! It was around that time I started to get into music. Also dusted off the old Bucks Fizz album! Thought I'd give it a listen too cos they are on the Here & Now tour me and my mate are going too in December.

Only 9 days til the night out in Leeds - can;t wait!! Really looking forward to it!!

Been working again - only got Saturday off this week. Need the money though! Decided to go to the Gala Dinner that Ches is playing at in November - well, that is if the lass who said she'd go with me actually does cough up the £90 for the ticket!!

Been way too muggy - been hot and bothered all day (well, ok, so I'm like that EVERY day!!). Really hope theres a decent storm this side of Saturday - but knowing my luck it'll happen when I'm with David and we're on out way to the cinema or when I'm on the train home!!! (and knowing my luck lightening will hit the track too!! LOL).

Have been sressing out today cos a alss who owes me hours, and was due to cover me in a couple of weeks, is on long term sick and god only knows when she'll be back! It's not her fault, I can understand and accept that, but I'm in Leeds on a girlie night out and theres no way on this earth I'll be in for 12!! They've put a stop on Swaps too, they can only be done in an emergency vis the team leader! So a nice little message has been put in my team leaders tray! If I can get til 4 or 4.30pm covered I'll be fine and dandy - hing over but at least I'll be there in body! LOL!

Well I've just this minute found out that al is true and Ches IS doing the Gala dinner in November! Now all I gotta go is find someone to splash out on a ticket with me to go! Aarrgghh!! Any offers?? No?? Bugger!!

God, I saw a sign yesterday that had advertised that Ches was gonna be playing in Cheshire at a Charity Gala! Only one problem - the ticket prices!

I know it;s for charity but £70 for a ticket - and that's the cheapest! The most is £90 which gains you access 2 the VIP area!

Why oh why do I never have any money when these things come about!!
